July 23, 2009 at Noon -- Jeanne and Carolyn Wehner will be performing popular favorites from the 50's and 60's for the long-running Music and More Noon Concert Series at First Presbyterian Church, 716 College Avenue, Racine WI.  Voluntary Donation Requested to help keep this wonderful series running.


 
July 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. -- "It's My Party" -- Jeanne and singer/pianist Carolyn Wehner, present a tribute to the many sounds of American popular music in the 1950s and 1960s.  Lesley Gore's hit song kicks off a show that highlights standards from the Great American Songbook (Beyond the Sea, Secret Love, Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime) -- alongside hits by performers and composers who defined the changing sound of the '60s -- Burt Bacharach, Carole King, Petula Clark and many others.  Favorite selections from Broadway and the movies are also included.

August 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. -- Jeanne will be joined by opera friends, Christine Steyer (soprano), Franco Manterano (tenor and member of the "3 Other Tenors") and John Trybus (baritone, who has been likened to a young Leonard Warren) for an afternoon of famous arias.  Jeanne and John both currently sing with the Chicago Lyric Opera and have sung with the Metropolitan Opera in New York.  Christine and Franco have both previously sung with the Lyric Opera of Chicago.  Christine has won international awards for her rich soprano.  Franco has been likened to another Pavarotti for his charismatic interpretations of the Tosti Songs.

November 17th at 7:00p.m. Jeanne presents her one-woman show on the "Music and Times of Kate Smith" at St. John's on the Lake (Milwaukee, WI) with pianist Carolyn Wehner.  Best known for her rendition of Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America”, Jeanne will also perform some of Miss Smith’s other signature songs including “The White Cliffs of Dover”, “When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain”, “I’ll Be Seeing You”, “Climb Every Mountain”, and “We’ll Meet Again”, as well as many other forgotten treasures.
